Located at an altitude of 2020 metres and only 35 km from Aosta, Lake Lod offers an oasis of tranquillity and coolness under the refreshing shade of the trees. Here, right among the green foliage, lies the picnic area carefully managed by Cervino Ski Paradise, an oasis equipped with 34 wooden tables and benches, 15 cookers for unforgettable barbecues and 3 fountains spurting fresh water. There are also 2 toilets to ensure maximum comfort for visitors.

With an accommodation capacity of 205 persons and a total area of 5000 square metres, the Lake Lod picnic area is the perfect place to spend moments of relaxation and conviviality with friends and family, immersed in the unspoilt nature of the Alps.

The Journey to Tranquility

Chamois, an authentic car-free village, can only be reached by cable car from the hamlet of Buisson in the municipality of Antey-Saint-André. From the arrival of the cable car, a short path leads in about 30 to 40 minutes to Lake Lod, offering visitors a trekking experience immersed in Alpine beauty. During open periods, it is also possible to reach the lake by the convenient Corgnolaz-Lake Lod chairlift, which departs directly from the village square.

A Dreamlike Panorama

From the picnic area, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of some of the most iconic peaks in the Alps. To the east, Mont Fontané and Grand Dent rise, while to the west, Fontanella Peak can be admired. To the south, one's gaze wanders to the majestic Punta Tersiva and the Becca di Luseney, while to the north, the Petite and Grande Muraille stand out along with the impressive Château des Dames.
