Ascent to Mount Matterhorn

If mountaineering is an integral part of the sports activities which have made Valtournenche famous, the Matterhorn is undoubtedly the mountain which everyone aspires to.

The Guides of the Matterhorn propose the “ feat” with departure from Brueil-Cervinia around midday with overnight at capanna Carrel (3836 m).

Wake up call at 4.00 am the next morning and, following via carrel, arrival to the Italian peak of the Matterhorn (where the famous cross is positioned) at around 9.00am

After the unforgettable usual photo, you return to Cervinia to the House of the Guides for the traditional toast and collection of the certificate stating your belonging to the “Club of the Friends of the Matterhorn”.
