Sant’Anna Path

It is one of the most beautiful walks of the territory. On foot, you reach the green pastures of “Tramal Damaeun”, at 2390 m of Alp Promindoz, where you find the small votive chapel of “Sant’ Anna Notre Dame De La Garde” or “Chapelle Du Pape” where His Holiness John Paul II stopped to pray during his holidays in the Aosta Valley. To reach it you follow trail 18 from Perrères which covers the old trails used one time to reach the Alpine huts from Valtournenche (2 hours of easy walk, suited to children), and the mountain pastures. You can reach the chapel by the Valtournenche Salette” gondola lift and from here take trails “107” and “65” (J.A. Carrel). From Cervinia (“Cielo Alto” zone) you reach it from trail “17” (start of the old bob-sleigh slope) which merges with trail 18 of Perrères in one hour of undemanding walk.
