Hillside trekking

You will meet uncontaminated nature, even two steps from the built-up area of Valtournenche.

For example, the hamlets of Perrères and Promoron are connected to each other by a pedestrian-naturalistic trail on flat ground (suitable also for disabled tourists) with descriptive signposts of the fauna and nature of the area. From Valtournenche there are different walks for all levels of hikers. From the town to Lake Lod (trail n° 15) you can discover flowers of every colour. From the hamlet of Crepin, in 45 minutes you reach Gouffre des Busserailles (1727 m) with the celebrated gorge and the waterfalls and where it is possible to stop and dine in the characteristic restaurant. From the characteristic village of Cretaz (one of the most stunning of Valtournenche) a 2-hour itinerary of medium difficulty over the valley takes the hiker to the village of Chamois (1815 m); in winter, it can only be reached by cable car. Another proposal is Cretaz-Cheneil (2088 m); it takes just under two hours to reach this characteristic village and from here it is possible to continue to Promindoz (1840 m), travelling a trail that goes through a larch wood.
