Breuil-Cervinia Carnival

Amid sparkling snow, Alpine legends, and a timeless atmosphere, the Breuil-Cervinia Carnival is a must-see event that blends history, spectacle, and tradition. The undisputed stars are the White Lady and the giant Gargantua, at the heart of a story brought to life through costumed parades, music, folklore, and evocative nighttime descents. A program full of excitement for all ages transforms the village into an open-air stage, where the past meets the magic of winter. The giant Gargantua “returns” the White Lady to Breuil-Cervinia.
She will be joyfully welcomed by her fellow townspeople, the Counts of Challant and their retinue.

4:00 PM
The Landzette of Bosses will enliven the village streets in search of the White Lady.

8:30 PM
Parade of the Historic Carnival procession from the Church to the Cretaz sports field.

9:00 PM
Descent of the White Lady and Gargantua, accompanied by Telemark skiers.
They will be welcomed by the protagonists of the Historic Carnival of Verrès, with Catherine de Challant and Pierre d’Introd LXXVI, the Landzette of Bosses, the folk group Lou Tintamaro de Cogne, the Pifferi of Arnad, the Folk Group of Breuil-Cervinia, the traditional costumes of Valtournenche, and the ski instructors.
Passing of the White Lady’s sash and musical entertainment.

Following the ceremony, the return of the White Lady will be celebrated at Hotel Breuil.

Entertainment on Via Carrel with the flag throwers of San Damiano d’Asti and the Landzette of Doues.

Parade of the carriage with the White Lady, Gargantua, Catherine de Challant, and Pierre d’Introd LXXVII, with their retinue and the participation of the little “Gargantua” and “White Lady”.

After the parade, a toast at The Glow Village.
