Cervino Snow Bike Show: the snow rally for 2-wheel enthusiasts returns to Cervinia. In memory of Walter Belli.

POSTPONED TO 23 MARCH

On Saturday 23 March, the snow bike rally organised by CERVINO S.P.A., the company that manages the ski lifts in Breuil-Cervinia, Valtournenche, Torgnon and Chamois, returns to Cervinia.
It is not a competition but a meeting of friends and cycling enthusiasts from all over Italy. The last edition was a great success with more than 300 participants: an opportunity to be in company in a unique environment, under the imposing mass of the Matterhorn, and to have fun tackling the interminable descent from the 3,500 metres of the Plateau Rosa glacier to the 2,050 metres of Breuil-Cervinia.

The Cervino Snow Bike Show is open to everyone with bicycles of any size and type. In addition to having the desire to have fun and experience unusual emotions in the high mountains, two requirements must be met: mounting treaded tyres and being at least 16 years of age.

The event is dedicated to the memory of Walter Belli, the Trial, MTB and Downhill champion who passed away in 2022 and who suffered a spinal cord injury in a bike crash in 2014, leaving him paralysed.

Donations will go to the Forza Walter Foundation, which campaigns for the rights of quadriplegics and supports scientific research into spinal injuries.

Cervino Snow Bike Show programme, Saturday 23 March 2024 (in the event of adverse weather conditions the event will be rescheduled for 23 March)

Starting at 10 a.m.: accreditation and handing out of handlebar plates at the Cervino S.p.A. information office at Bardoney in Breuil-Cervinia.

2 p.m.: ascent by cable car to the 3,480 metres of Plateau Rosa

5.00 p.m.: aperitif in the company of the Aosta Valley MTB instructors

5.30 p.m.: departure from Plateau Rosa for an interminable bike descent on the ski slopes

6.30pm: arrival in Cervinia and musical accompaniment and mulled wine at La Folie for all participants

Participation fee: minimum donation of € 10.00, which will be donated to the Fondazione Forza Walter. (includes cable car ascent, aperitif at Plateau Rosa' and mulled wine)
