Throughout the month of August, every evening at dusk, the Matterhorn comes alive with a spectacular light show, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to relive the magic of Cervino Lights Up History.

A tribute to ninety years of history, innovation and passion, transforming every evening into an unforgettable experience at the foot of the iconic mountain that defines our destination.

The excitement of the 90th anniversary of the Breuil-Cervinia – Plan Maison cable car continues.

Over the coming days, we'll take you back through the entire Cervino Lights Up History event, revisiting its most memorable moments: the live performances, the talks with special guests, the stories, the music, and the journey through Past, Present and Future.

We begin with the Past.

In this first video, you'll relive the opening performance, hosted by Vic from Radio Deejay, featuring the narration of Francesco Pezzulli, the Italian voice of Leonardo DiCaprio, accompanied by the evocative live music of Alessandro Martire.

A moving tribute to the origins of Cervino S.p.A. and to the people whose vision, courage and dedication shaped the first ninety years of its history.

Since 1936: Memories, Emotions, Challenges

On Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2 2026, Breuil-Cervinia will celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Breuil-Cervinia – Plan Maison cable car with two days of events, music, and entertainment.

A journey through the past, present, and future to retrace a history that began in 1936 and celebrate together an anniversary that has shaped the area’s tourism and sports development.

The event will take place at the Breuil-Cervinia sports field and will be open to the public free of charge.

Saturday, August 1

11:00 AM – 10:00 PM | Partner Village

A full day dedicated to activities, experiences, and initiatives organized by the event partners.

Sunday, August 2

11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Partner Village

The Partner Village continues throughout the day with activities, experiences, entertainment, and partner initiatives.

4:00 PM | ION Cup 2026 Award Ceremony

The award ceremony will take place inside the Partner Village and will be accompanied by a live performance by Giulio Maceroni (guitar) and Giovanna Di Domenico (cello).

9:00 PM | Cervino Lights Up History

A special show celebrating the 90th anniversary of the Breuil-Cervinia–Plan Maison cable car, featuring music, images, storytelling, and live performances.
