In the authentic heart of the Aosta Valley, in the hamlet of Pessey in Valtournenche, Heritage Carrel is more than a chalet: it’s a sensory journey through nature, design, and history.

This 19th-century residence, beautifully restored, welcomes guests into unique spaces inspired by the four seasons, where every architectural and decorative detail is designed to bring the outdoors in, creating an atmosphere of harmony, energy, and well-being. Italian design excellence defines every corner: from Flos lighting to Moroso sofas, from natural wood flooring by Listone Giordano to the refined bathrooms by Gessi. Each element contributes to a high-level aesthetic and sensory experience.

Taking care of every detail is our discreet yet attentive House Manager, always available to meet any need. They oversee daily cleaning, ensuring guests enjoy comfort, privacy, and personalized hospitality.

Inside the chalet, you’ll also find our natural Essence Carrel fragrances, with courtesy products and personal scents, Il Cervino and La Vetta, as well as luxury linens and towels by Fazzini guarantees softness and quality.

The journey begins…

On the basement level, guests are welcomed into a stylish utility area: a large garage with an electric car charging station, an elegant deposit for skis, snowboards, bikes, and boots. A cinema/music room follows, furnished with a B&B Italia sofa and equipment from Sony, Marantz, Sonus Faber, and Real Acoustic.

You’ll also find a refined Technogym fitness area, an emotional shower with chromotherapy and water cascades, and upstairs, direct access to the Finnish sauna and outdoor hot tub, surrounded by a panoramic solarium, a true alpine wellness retreat.

Upstairs…

The first floor is home to the Spring Master Suite: 50 square meters of pure luxury where natural light meets warm materials and delicate tones. The spacious bathroom offers chromotherapy and a Kneipp path for a deeply regenerating experience. A king-size bed, walk-in closet, and direct access to the garden complete this sanctuary of rest.

Summer flows indoors…

The second floor is the vibrant heart of the home: a bright living area with a concealed kitchen and a dining table by Agapecasa designed by Angelo Mangiarotti, enhanced by Moroso sofas and an Evonic Fires designer fireplace, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. From here, guests can step directly outside and enjoy mountain views that bring peace in every season.

In the attic…

The third floor is an intimate nest with custom-designed bathrooms. Two 20-square-meter bedrooms reflect summer and autumn through soothing tones and rich textures. The first features two twin beds (convertible to a double), a free-standing bathtub for ultimate relaxation, and large windows overlooking the landscape. The second, with a queen bed, offers breathtaking views of the southern valley through a large window framed into the sloping roof.

A family story

A permanent photo exhibition takes guests on an intimate and fascinating journey into the history of the Carrel family, starting from the ancestors who embodied the Esprit Carrel, the spirit that led them to conquer the Matterhorn and to mountaineering expeditions across all continents.
